Bo Bartholomew

ROCKMONT Partners Bo Bartholomew and Brian Fox are among those named in a nearly $4.7MM raise by their RMP RepScrubs that is associated with its investment in REPSCRUBS LLC (Prescient Logistics LLC), based in Sanford, Fla. Early-stage company's website says in part that "RepScrubs® provides a closed loop system that delivers full transparency and control of perioperative vendors to simplify compliance, accountability and security. Without a closed-loop solution, hospitals are unable to confirm vendor credentials and have limited visibility..."

Joyce Mehlman

MT. JULIET-based fintech startup SPIDR INC. has raised at least $1.6MM from four investors toward its $3MM equity Seed raise, according to its Dec. 30, 2024, filing. Its initial report was filed the previous September. The Spidr platform offers to help client techco's and sponsor banks develop, launch and expand embedded banking and fintech products. Spidr's founders include Charlotte-area-based CEO Ramy Serageldin and Mt. Juliet- and Charlotte-based COO Joyce Mehlman. Serageldin is a former head of Enterprise API Banking at Wells Fargo, while Mehlman's iLEX Consulting GroupUpd has helped dozens of fintech startups go to market. Mehlman is a former COO of the Bancorp Bank. Both executives have previously been associated with Charlotte's Queen City Fintech incubator program (allied with Revtech Labs).

Brandon Bruce

BRANDON BRUCE, founder of Market Square Ventures in Knoxville, reported to the SEC on Dec. 30, 2024 on having raised $3MM from one investor for pooled investment fund interest, via issuer MSV TN Fund I LP. VNC previously reported in full on Bruce's filing for Market Square Ventures Fund I, for which no target or proceeds were then reported.

Jonathan Bragdon

CHATTANOOGA's Capacity Capital's Managing Partner Jonathan Bragdon reported Dec. 31 on having raised nearly $2MM from 25 investors, within a targeted $10MM VC raise. Other Bragdon coverage. Issuer reporting began with a blank slate a year ago. Capacity Fund. Capacity advisory.

Buddy Ortale

NASHVILLE entrepreneur and investor Buford 'Buddy' Ortale's interest in vintage-2019 startup Remote Care Partners caught our eye in spring 2021. Tampa-based Remote's technology supports population and remote-care management. In its Dec. 30, 2024 filing, Remote Care also includes Remote CEO Gregg Smith and Directors David Vandewater and Robert Draughon (the former WebMD exec, Atlanta). We estimate the company has raised at least $15MM since inception.

Chetan Parikh

MEDTECH: In Louisville, Chetan Parikh's RAAPID Inc. reported today it targets a $10.7MM raise for the serial entrepreneur's latest venture, which offers an AI/NLP-driven risk adjustment solution for prospective and retrospective risk adjustment in context of healthcare, insurance and-or technology businesses. Nearly $6.7MM has reportedly been received from 14 investors, tempered by some SAFE conversions.

Armand Lauzon

FOUNDER ARMAND LAUZON filed for Project Belle LLC, a "tech-enabled healthcare company that provides [for Belle members] on demand preventive nail and footcare services," according to his LinkedIn. Care is delivered by certified nail technicians, according to Belle's FAQ. Issuer Project Belle said its target is $10MM in equity investments. The COO of the business is Alison Finck Lanni of the Nashville area. VNC originally reported on Belle (aka Project Belle) in 2017, when it joined a Jumpstart Foundry cohort. VNC
