AGLAUNCH Accelerator at Memphis Bioworks announced four startup companies were selected from a field of 17 to receive a $50,000 investment and participate in the 3-month program: Cowlar offers a livestock wearable device; Secure Food Solutions helps detect pathogens in the food supply; Skycision's solution helps detect crop stress through analysis of drone-collected imagery; YieldStart offers a biobased technology for seed coating and fertilizer encapsulation, helping farmers, seed companies and others. The accelerator is run by Memphis Bioworks' Ag Innovation Development Group (AgIDG). AgIDG is also pilot-testing startup AgVoice's voice-to-data collection technology for use by crop scouts. STONY CREEK COLORS, led by founder Sarah Bellos, said it has successfully completed its previously announced $1.6MM Seed capital raise. Read more about the gameplan here.

EVAmore, a Project Music alumnus via the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, said this morning it has completed an undisclosed Series A capital raise of undisclosed magnitude. Founders Channing Moreland and Makenzie Sokol remain in control, with Birmingham-based Steve Hines of the new Emergent Angel fund the lead investor for the A-round.
