NeighborMD Management, the growing Nashville urgent-care group, has a $2.5MM raise underway, according to its recent SEC filing.
The company has recruited just over $2MM thus far, according to its filing. A year ago, the company opened its first location in Hermitage and said it plans to have 14 urgent-care centers in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky by 2015.
Sid Chambless, executive director of Nashville Capital Network, an Angel-investor group that has a sidecar fund and an affiliated TNInvestco, Tennessee Angel Fund, said he could not comment when reached.
Greg Burns is president and CEO of NeighborMD Management LLC. Burns is a former O'Charley's CEO and was CFO of Nashville Banner Publishing, which once published Nashville afternoon daily newspaper.
When reached by VNC, Les Coble, the company's COO and listed among those named in the filing, declined comment on the filing, citing company policy. NeighborMD is the DBA for Volunteer State Urgent Care, according to the company's press releases.
Philip Hertik, former CEO of Windsor Health Group (Munich Re), is an advisor to the company. He is listed as associated with the latest SEC filing. Peter Rossell, also listed as associated with the current raise, is the company's CFO. He is a former Morgan Joseph vice president and was an analyst with ING Barings.
Others named as associated with the filing were Jim Baker and Barry Yarbrough, whom VNC has not identified with certainty. VNC
