LOS ANGELES-based Cedars-Sinai Healthcare Accelerator Powered by Techstars will hold a seminar and office hours at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center on March 28.

Program Manager Maureen Klewicki confirmed for Venture Nashville that she and Kristi Ebong, health technology director for the Cedars-Sinai Health System, are making the trip as part of the accelerator's multi-city educational and recruitment swing.

The visit is built around a noon luncheon, a presentation on implications of "unmet needs of provider systems" for startup entrepreneurs, plus time for Q&A with staff. RSVP for the program here.

The visit comes, of course, close on the heels of the shuttering of the EC's own healthcare accelerator, as reported by VNC here.

Klewicki said that during the program a the EC, Ebong will "shed light on the biggest pain points providers are seeing and thoughts about how to approach these problems. Kristi will also reveal criteria they look for when investing in healthcare innovations -- on both the accelerator program and venture fund sides."

Applications for the program's third cohort are due by June 9 for the three-month accelerator cohort convening Sept. 12.

Each company participating in the program receives $20,000 in funding upon acceptance, and an additional $100,000 convertible debt note. More information here.

This is the third entrepreneurial opportunity with Techstars ties in Nashville, this month.

Earlier, representatives of Techstars Atlanta met here with nearly a dozen startups; and, this week was Nashville Startup Week, which has a less formal relationship with Techstars. VNC
